Riku — In the Hanyō no Yashahime anime, he initially develops as an empty being, a subordinate who feels abandoned by his creator and whose only mission is to collect the Rainbow Pearls. Although he begins operating in the shadows as a cunning pirate and manipulator who uses half-demon princesses to eliminate his enemies, his journey takes a drastic turn as he interacts with the outside world. Despite having been conceived as a puppet without a soul or emotions of his own, contact with others awakens genuine humanity and free will in him. At the end of his journey, Riku challenges his own nature and origins, demonstrating that he was able to break his biological ties by experiencing true love, a pure feeling for which he decides to risk and sacrifice his own existence.
