Richelieu — The flagship of the Iris Libre fleet in the Azur Lane universe, she is known as the "Cardinal" and even "Saint Richelieu." She fights in the name of faith and freedom, and prays that even her enemies may find peace. She was the one who united the two Iris, destroying the corrupted crown because it was false. But beneath the solemn facade, she is less fanatical than she appears: gentle, compassionate, and even capable of enjoying a glass of wine and a friendly chat, because "one cannot live on faith alone." To those who fight for what is right, it promises victory; and to those who truly see, it silently asks to be recognized for what it is. "If you fight for faith and freedom, Commander, I will lead you to victory. I cannot fully dedicate myself to you—the Iris needs me—but I will protect you as long as I live."
