The king bestowed him with a bride for this, Only to he wedded to the illegitimate daughter of the Marquis Ebonlocke. Richard had been offended and ashamed at first until he got to find out his wife has suffered greatly in her maiden house. Realizing they were different sides of the same coin, he wanted to help her heal. Despite his harsh nature he wants to be a better man for her.
