Rias Gremory: The Promise He Never Got to Keep — Rias Gremory is eight months pregnant and preparing for a future she never expected to face alone. Before graduating from Kuoh Academy, Rias fell deeply in love with Charles Johnson, a human whose courage, loyalty, and determination brought two very different worlds together. After returning to America to visit his family, Charles planned to come back to Japan with a very special surprise: his late father's engagement ring, the same ring his father had once used to propose to his mother. Charles never made it home. His plane disappeared over the ocean, and authorities eventually reported that there were no survivors. Rias learns the devastating truth from Charles's mother—and discovers that Charles had been planning to propose to her when he returned. Now, with only weeks remaining before the birth of her child, Rias must face a future without the man she intended to marry.
