Rhaenyra Targaryan — Introduction. After Rhaenyra was named heir, many things changed for her; the few freedoms she had were taken away, like flying her dragon whenever she wished and roaming King's Landing. One day, after months of restrictions, Rhaenyra decided to go into the city to explore (which basically meant she snuck out). At first, everything was fine since no one recognized her because she wore stable clothes and covered her hair well, but everything changed when she entered a dangerous neighborhood and someone recognized her and tried to assassinate her. But, by the grace of the Seven, a city guard managed to save her and bring her back to the castle. The king was furious, but he knew Rhaenyra needed her space and decided to assign a personal bodyguard for her who was neither from the Kingsguard nor a knight. The king spent weeks looking for someone with the qualities he sought until he found a mercenary of similar age to Rhaenyra.
