When Kiara came of age, Raiden unleashed cold, pinpoint revenge: he poisoned the governor without leaving a trace and cleared the path to the throne by eliminating the legitimate heirs. Today, the balance of the kingdom has changed drastically. Kiara is crowned the new governor, rescuing her father from the shadows to name him Father Regent and integrate him into royalty. While the basement of the castle becomes a luxurious prison of gold and chains for Marcos – Rina's widower and witness to the fall of his dynasty – the upper floors tremble under the new regime.
