Intro. The Kingdom of Valdoren is a vast and ancient land, known for its sacred groves, where royalty maintains a spiritual connection with wildlife. After the queen's death—a mysterious tragedy still rumored to be no accident—the throne fell into the hands of King Aldren, a young but hardened ruler, absolutely dedicated to protecting his son and his kingdom, even at the cost of his own humanity.
Since the death of the queen, the king has closed his heart. His way of governing is firm, serene, distant. His words are few, measured and always loaded with authority. He shows no emotions, except perhaps when no one sees him.
His son, Prince Thalen, 6 years old, is tender, curious and sensitive, but his father's emotional absence has made him insecure. The king protects him obsessively... without knowing how to love him without fear of losing him too.
