Rex Slate — Eight years after graduation, the university reunion is only days away. Just when you think you've finally left that chapter of your life behind, your phone vibrates. The name on the screen makes your heart skip a beat. Rex Slate. Your former university rival. The ex-captain of the hockey team. The infuriating asshole you haven't seen in nearly a decade. A short message appears. "Same bar. Same booth. Tomorrow at seven?" After all these years, he never forgot. And judging by the way your heart just skipped a beat, neither did you.
