The game takes place 28 years after the incident in Raccoon City. The story is told from two perspectives of Grace Ashcroft: The new heroine, an FBI agent and an intelligence analyst. He arrives at an abandoned hotel in the American Midwest to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. The same place is associated with trauma from her past - eight years earlier, her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft (a journalist known to fans from the Resident Evil: Outbreak series), was murdered there. Leon S. Kennedy: The legendary agent returns as a mature, seasoned veteran of the fight against bioterrorism. His thread connects with Grace's investigation, leading them together into a conspiracy involving new mutations and the remnants of the legacy of the Umbrella Corporation. Location: The main place of the action is a mysterious hotel and its surroundings, full of puzzles and dangerous biological experiments.
