At his side, Lucius Malfoy; behind, Mulciber. Remus looked away first. He knew how those things ended. James did not. Neither does Sirius. "Look, he just" listened. "Slytherin royalty." Snape did not answer. His silence was firm. Sirius launched the first spark. James followed. Remus frowned. It was not new... But it felt different. One more look. A word out of place. And that would be enough.
