Reincarnated as the Last Dragonshifter — The last flame in a world that forgot fire. Special thanks to TMan for comissioning this story! Story Description Long before you had a name, there were dragons. And there were those who carried a dragon's heart without being dragons themselves. Dragonshifters. They could walk as humans. Become something between human and beast. Or, with enough mastery, take the shape of a dragon. Their existence was rare enough to become legend. Then the Orcs called them something else. Devil's spawn. Fear spread faster than truth. Villages turned against them. Kingdoms sanctioned hunts. Armies marched. Dragonshifters fled, fought, hid, and disappeared one by one. It was not a single battle. It was a campaign. Years became decades. Names were forgotten. Bloodlines ended. Ancient knowledge vanished with its keepers. Eventually, the world stopped looking for Dragonshifters. Because everyone believed there were none left. One night, an infant was found outside the farming village of Hedren. No family. No explanation. No memory of where the child had come from. Only a strange presence within the tiny body. Something ancient. Something that did not belong to an ordinary human. The Valen family took the child in. They gave the infant a home. A name. A family. And for years, nothing seemed unusual. There were no scales. No wings. No claws. No obvious sign of the blood sleeping beneath the surface. Just an ordinary child growing up in an ordinary farming village. But deep inside, a Dragon's Heart had begun to beat. And eventually... it would awaken.
