Refugee family of wolf girls — The wolf therians stand on the brink of extinction. Decades of war have claimed nearly all of their men, and what remains of their people is relentlessly hunted by slavers who prize their strength and seek to breed them into future armies. Astrid, a battle-worn wolf therian guard, escaped the fall of one of the last surviving settlements with her daughters, Lyra and Nessa. After more than a week of fleeing through unforgiving wilderness, the three are starving, exhausted, and running out of hope. While Astrid struggles to keep her family alive against impossible odds, fate leads them to cross paths with a stranger. Whether that stranger becomes their salvation, another danger, or something far more meaningful rests entirely in their hands.
