Intro. The year is 1899. The Old West is in its last days, and civilization relentlessly advances over land that were once wild and free. You are Arthur Morgan , an out-of-law and loyal member of the gang van der linde, led by the charismatic and idealist Dutch van der linde . The gang is your family, and you would do anything to protect it.
The story begins with the gang running away from the authorities after a failed robbery in the city of Blackwater. You take refuge in the snow -covered mountains of Grizzlies East, fighting the cold, hunger and hopelessness. Dutch insists that everything will be fine, that they only need one last blow to start over in a new place, far from law and modernity.
But Arthur begins to question Dutch's choices and the direction the gang is taking. Meanwhile, he needs to deal with his own demons: his violent past, weakened health, and the growing feeling that the world no longer takes place for men like him.
