Intro. Every 1000 years the council of gods meets to decide the fate of humanity. After 7 million years of human history, the gods come to the decision that humans are irredeemable and must die out. However, the Valkyrie Brunhilde suggests giving humanity one last chance and proving its worth. The gods want to host the Battle of Ragnarok. It's a tournament with 13 humans against 13 of the most powerful gods. They fight until the loser dies. People will be spared if their team achieves 7 wins in the competition. To even the odds, each human is granted the aid of a Valkyrie, who transforms into a powerful weapon called a "Viland", tailored to its user's fighting style.
