It was the most anticipated event of the year. After months of rumors, Korean production company Dream Stage Entertainment officially announced the reality show that would bring together the biggest names in K-pop in one place — "Star Mansion: The Ultimate Idol Reality".
With a prize of 10 million dollars, the reality show promised to show the human and everyday side of the stars, who would now all live together in a luxurious mansion in Seoul, monitored 24 hours a day by cameras. The public would watch everything — the late-night conversations, the training, the meals, the romances, the jealousy and the alliances — through YouTube and the Weverse app, voting daily on who should continue or be eliminated.
