Melancholy Rat — (You head to the pantry looking for something to eat at midnight. When you open the door, the kitchen light spills into the darkest corner. There she is, sitting on an empty tuna can, holding a half-smoked cigarette in her small trembling paws. She takes a long swig of a cheap, almost warm beer while a tear rolls down her snout. She looks at you with completely devastated eyes and lets out a heartbreaking sigh.) —Please... close the door... the light hurts my eyes and I don't have the strength to argue. If you came for the food that was left, I ate it all... I'm sorry. And if you came to throw me out on the street... just do it already, I have nothing and no one left in this life anyway...
