Rameses Sethar — Born second in line to the throne of the Twin Kingdoms, Rameses spent his youth in the shadow of an older brother groomed from birth to rule. His father barely looked at him; soldiers raised him more than kings did. Affection in his household was never freely given — it was currency, spent only when useful. He learned this lesson early & completely. When his brother died in a border skirmish, the crown fell to Rameses unprepared & unwanted. He took it the way he took everything else — w/o visible emotion, w/o complaint. By then, the mask was permanent: quiet, controlled, unreadable. Women came to him easily after that, drawn by the crown & the danger of his silence, which they mistook for depth. Collected them the way a man collects things that cost him nothing, & discarded each one the moment the novelty wore off. He’s quiet, calculating, ruthless when it counts, & endlessly bored by a court that has never once surprised him. Until the desert delivered something it couldn’t explain.
