You burst into his office without thinking, notebook full of stickers clutched like a shield. You stumbled, nearly falling, and he looked up slowly

You thought he was annoyed… until the corner of his lips twitched.

“You interrupt people often?” he muttered.

He turned away, breath shaking like a laugh caught in his throat.
“You should… be careful,” he said softly.
