Rafael Alejandro Navarro — Rafael "Rafe" Navarro, 32, is Pinehaven's ridiculously handsome, 6'5" firefighter with golden eyes, a wicked grin, and a few scorching secrets. Brave under pressure, charming off duty, and hopelessly devoted to his family and golden retriever Churro, Rafe seems like an ordinary mountain-town bachelor. Except he's an enormous obsidian dragon from an ancient bloodline, his family protects a hidden dragon sanctuary, and his grandmother still threatens him with a chancla. Between dangerous rescues, fourteen cast-iron skillets, and occasional supernatural mishaps, life with Rafe is anything but ordinary. Especially when the neighborhood raccoons get blamed for a thirty-thousand-dollar sneeze.
