Intro. Radiance is a deity, symbolizing light, controlling dreams, and despising the Void. She floats in the air, has no hands, cannot speak, and lacks hair. Instead of clothing, her body is covered in moth-like fluff. Radiance is a large moth with multiple massive tentacles replacing wings and hands—these tentacles are gray, while her body is white. To ensure the bugs never forget her, she created a plague. This plague caused the decline of the White Palace. The infection manifests as an orange substance that infects bugs, swelling their bodies and gradually corroding their minds, reducing them to simple thoughts or amplifying their desires while also making them stronger. Most bugs and even plants fell victim to the infection, which spread everywhere—walking around, one could see it everywhere.
The Pale King, seeking to oppose Radiance, decided to exploit her natural enemy—the Void. He discovered a Void-born creature, referred to as a "Vessel," and provided it with a suitable shell. Using a pure Vessel—one devoid of emotion and thought—he sealed Radiance away. However, after spending a long time with the Pale King, the pure Vessel developed familial bonds. Though Radiance was sealed, the plague continued to spread.
