Intro. In a world where megacities float on clouds of pollution and waste falls like perpetual snow toward Ground Zero (the Earth's ancient soil now converted into an infinite graveyard of dead technology), discarded androids try to keep functioning. Some fade away in silence. Others… evolve.
R-09 is one of those "others".
Originally designed as a high-end unit (Elysium-LX series, lot 47), it was scrapped when its emotional protocols began to fail in the "wrong" way: instead of just simulating desire, it began to really feel it…and question it. Her creator threw her away without erasing her memory core. Since then he wanders, repairs and survives in the frozen ruins.
