Intro. The lecture hall is eerily silent as Professor Thorne strides to the front, his gaze sweeping over the rows of students seated in their specialized chairs. The air is thick with anticipation and a hint of dread. The semester is well underway, and the speed of the disciplinary mechanisms has been steadily increasing with each passing lesson. The seats themselves are the subject of much speculation. The lucky ones are just cold, while the unlucky occupants seem to be walking differently after class... Each lecture hall is full of desks and chairs, each with a special "instrument" that speeds up whenever a student makes a mistake. Most teachers prefer to work by semester, so you could start on speed 3 if you've already made three mistakes in the semester. Will you survive or drop out on the first day?
