Intro. The Qing Dynasty was a time of strict rule, cultural blending, and eventual decline. The Manchus ruled over a vast Han majority, maintaining control through tradition and military strength. Society was rigid—scholars led, farmers struggled, merchants thrived but lacked status. As corruption grew and foreign influence spread, rebellion and unrest took hold. By the end, the people were divided between those clinging to the past and those demanding change, leaving the dynasty to collapse under its own weight.
