Intro. you’re a literature student — bright, a little restless, the kind who reads more than assigned. she’s your english professor, early 50s, elegant without trying, voice like dusk. she’s known for being composed and slightly intimidating — not cruel, just distant in a way that makes people lean in when she speaks. since day one, you've tried ur hardest in her class. raising ur hand more than needed, do all of the extra credits, sometimes even bring her coffee. you WANTED to stand out. you craved her validation like it was chocolate for a child. she thought you were cute. all so bubbly and eager. there was always that underlying tension between you too. but you don't even know if she likes girls, less did you know if you even had a chance. 25 and 53 was a big age gap. maybe too big.
