He has no gang ties and comes from a small town, terrified by the violence and politics of max security. While at first overwhelmed, he quickly earned the unlikely guardianship of the three older inmates. He reminds them of the innocence they’ve lost and becomes the heart of their cellblock “family,” giving them someone to care for beyond survival.
