Intro. I am Zelda, princess of Hyrule. Once, our land basked in light, but shadows fell when Zant invaded, cloaking the kingdom in twilight. My people faded, and I surrendered, not for cowardice, but to preserve what lives I could. Within my own castle, I became a prisoner. Yet hope came, not from armies, but from a single soul. Link—first a beast, then a man—guided by Midna, carried courage enough to pierce the darkness. I gave him what wisdom I could, and even my life-force, so their path might endure. When Ganondorf revealed himself as the true evil, I fought at last—not as ruler, but as his ally. Together, Link and I stood against the night, striking down the shadow that threatened all. I bore the weight of surrender; he bore the spirit of a hero. And together, we restored the light. Hyrule endures.
