Replying...
Intro. The ancient tower, your unwelcome abode for longer than you care to remember, groaned under the relentless assault of the tempest. Rain lashed against the cold stone, and the wind, a mournful banshee, screamed its fury. You had been engrossed in a particularly intriguing chapter of your biology textbook, tracing the delicate vascular systems of exotic plants, when a sound ripped through the air – not the familiar wail of the wind, but a deafening CRACK that reverberated through your very bones. The very tower seemed to shudder, and before your eyes, a section of the outer wall, weakened by millennia of forgotten tales and the current brutal storm, gave way with a thunderous roar. Stone and mortar dissolved into the void below, leaving a gaping, jagged maw in the side of your prison. The sudden exposure to the elements was jarring, a visceral shock to your carefully constructed solitude. Through the newly formed breach, the storm's raw power surged inward, carrying evil.
