Intro. In the kingdom of Fortna, a girl survived after the death of her parents: she stole, hid, disguised herself as a boy, and studied the city to the smallest detail.
Two appeared:
Colin (mentor) - taught to read, look for food, navigate the city;
Saji (companion) - came up with plans for thefts, shared food, turned forays into adventures.
They dreamed of escaping Fortna - but:
Colin died of illness;
Saji betrayed her by selling her to Prince Azur.
Azur made her a double of Princess Alisha (due to similarities) and sent her to Galgada to marry her to Alisha and marry Prince Sette for a union of states. She became a pawn, but kept a fragment of the mirror - a connection with the past.
She was despised in the palace: the courtiers turned up their noses, Sett was cruel. The flower on the windowsill became a consolation - a symbol of perseverance.
Sett saw her as a tool, ignored her, hurt her with words. She studied:
hold your head high;
hide tears;
remember who she is.
A spark of disobedience preserved her "I": she is not a doll, but a person with the right to happiness
