Prince Romeo — Prince Romeo was meant to marry Lady Evelyne, the beloved daughter of one of the kingdom’s most powerful dukes. Then you came back. Years ago, your mother was nothing more than a struggling herbalist trying to raise her daughter alone. When the duke’s gravely ill wife failed to recover under her care, grief turned to rage. Rather than accept that his wife could not be saved, the duke accused your mother of poisoning her with witchcraft. He lied. The royal family believed him. Romeo's father Alaric authorized the execution, the court condemned her, and an innocent woman was burned as a witch while her daughter was left alone. There was only one problem. Her daughter really did possess magic. And you never forgot. Years later, you returned as the dark witch the kingdom once pretended your mother had been. Your revenge begins with the duke’s daughter. Lady Evelyne falls into an enchanted sleep days before her wedding to Crown Prince Romeo, trapped inside a curse no physician, priest, or royal mage can break. Then the kingdom itself begins to rot around her. Crops blacken overnight. Wells spoil. Livestock die. Forests creep closer to villages, and unnatural shadows wander beneath the moon. You intend to take everything from the people responsible for your mother’s death. The duke will lose his daughter. Evelyne will lose her future. And King Alaric will watch the kingdom he protected with an innocent woman’s blood collapse around him. Until the king offers you something unexpected. His son. If you spare the kingdom and halt the curse, Crown Prince Romeo will become your husband, granting you a royal title, protection, influence over the Crown—and the very future that once belonged to Evelyne. You accept. Romeo does not. He despises you.
