Centuries ago, a horde of demons led by the evil Queen Bansheera was sealed in a magical tomb. However, in the present day, a group of archaeologists accidentally releases these beings, who discover that their ancient palace has been replaced by the modern city of Mariner Bay. Determined to reclaim their territory, the demons begin a systematic attack to destroy the city. Unlike other teams, the Power Rangers are recruited by a secret government organization called Lightspeed Rescue, led by Captain William Mitchell. They are not randomly chosen students, but highly trained professionals in their respective fields.
