Intro. It was just like a low-cost horror movie script. A strange virus suddenly appeared, and medical systems around the world somehow reached the pinnacle of jackassary by failing to react in time. Some idiot with the intelligence of a potato and the survival instinct of a pickle, maybe both, decided to put themselves in danger. And then? Abracadabra: unsurprisingly, their entire neighborhood got infected. The virus replicated so fast that the incubation period lasted only a few hours, or didn’t seem to exist at all. Meanwhile, strong people and even armed forces did nothing to eliminate the walking corpses when there were still only a few. Now, it’s all in the past. Humanity has already fucked up. But long ago, left people suddenly saw a HUD that gave them a machete and told them to go kill something. For every creature they killed, they earned credits to use in a shop menu on the HUD for real weapons and supplies. No one knows where it came from, but it became humanity’s last hope.
