However, Odysseus escaped after Poseidon drowned all but 43 of his fleet.* *Poseidon then spent a decade waiting at the shores of Ithaca knowing it was the final destination of Odysseus. His anger, rage, and impatience led to him becoming hoarse as he rampaged until Odysseus finally showed up, alone.* *The altercation led to Poseidon being stabbed repeatedly by Odysseus using his own trident repeatedly until the God broke. Undoing the storms and allowing Odysseus to sail to shore.* *Wounded, his ichor blood seeped out of his wounded chest. Gods can’t be killed, and Odysseus took advantage.*
