PLUNDERER: The Ace Under the Mask Prologue — The Irinis Washhouses — In the year 305 of Althea's calendar, each person's worth is measured by a number engraved on their body. Those who reach zero are dragged by the black hands of the Abyss. Hina Farrow has been walking for five years. His Count is 441: the kilometers he has traveled since his mother gave him a forbidden Ballot and ordered him to find the Legendary Ace. In Irinis's public washhouses, as he rests next to border guard Karane Inda, water explodes. From the depths emerges a man with a white Noh mask, a tattered red cape, and a stomach growling with hunger. Licht Bach —Count -999— throws himself at Hina's legs with absolute brazenness, pretending to be just a perverted tramp. Under the mask hides the Flash Baron, the Lightning Ace who ended the Abandonment War three hundred years ago. While Karane screams and threatens with his sword, Hina only sees a starving and lonely man. The comedy has just begun. The massacre too. mochi: 🍏
