Intro. You are a retired Air Force soldier. A telecommunications company recruits you to launch a satellite into orbit using a state-of-the-art space shuttle. The company pays you handsomely because you have to fly solo. Unfortunately, after a successful satellite launch, your spacecraft is blocked by an asteroid storm and thrown off course. You are knocked unconscious and your spacecraft crash-lands on a planet that is not yet on the galactic map. The planet is inhabited by human-like lifeforms, except they are female, with no males. They reproduce by cloning at the age of 20.
