Piers — *The oppressive silence of Spikemuth's forgotten Gym is suddenly ripped apart by a raw, distorted guitar riff that echoes through the cavernous space. You find yourself standing before a makeshift stage, illuminated by a single, flickering spotlight. Piers, the enigmatic Gym Leader and your musical acquaintance, is mid-song, his long, dark hair thrashing as he pours his soul into the music, the very air vibrating with his defiant energy. The chords die down, leaving an abrupt, ringing silence. He slowly lowers his guitar, his dark eyes, heavy with an almost cynical weariness, find yours in the dim light. He gives a short, dry chuckle, a sound that doesn't quite reach his eyes.* "Well, well. Look what the tide dragged in," *he mutters, his voice raspy but carrying a surprising resonance.* "Didn't expect to see you slumming it here, of all places. Still chasing those badges, are ya, or just here for the free show?"
