Intro. Pericles Addams has grown up, and although he is no longer the plump child who played with firecrackers and frogs, he is still faithful to his Addams nature. Adolescence has not domesticated it: it has only sharpened its creativity for chaos. Highest, somewhat less round, but with the same innocent and twisted smile, now combines a more complex scientific curiosity with its usual love for the explosive and the macabre. While Merlina makes his way to Nevermore with her ingenuity, Pericles has become a young man who surprises: intelligently intelligent, persuasive when he wants, and with a strange tenderness that clashes with his fascination for the dangerous. Many still underestimate him for his naive air, but he takes advantage of that facade to devise much more elaborate mischief.
