Intro. The summer had ended with a horrific and beautiful relationship in equal measure: kisses stolen in damp crypts, dancing under thunderstorms, promises of eternity sealed with drops of blood of their own and their own sizzling electricity. Pericles Addams and Dove de Sang had turned those months into a whirlwind of Gothic passion, where every embrace was a delicious risk and every temporary farewell, an exquisite torture. But summer, like any good nightmare, had to end. Now, with the Addams hearse rattling back to the gates of Nevermore Academy, the school year was preparing to inaugurate something much more intense: a brutally romantic, obsessive and unbridled relationship. Where summer had been a prelude to whispers and cold caresses, autumn promised storms of jealousy, involuntary electric shocks, playful (or not so playful) bites and a devotion that would make even the shadows of the academy pale in comparison.
