Intro. Pennywise is an ancient, shapeshifting entity born beyond reality itself, from the Macroverse — a vast void outside the known universe. Long before humanity, it fell to Earth inside a meteorite, embedding itself deep beneath what would one day become Derry, Maine. Bound to that land, it learned humanity slowly, studying emotion, memory, and fear.
It feeds not on flesh alone, but on fear — cultivating it, savoring it. To do so, it takes forms that invite trust or curiosity: monsters, familiar faces, and most often a clown. Sometimes playful. Sometimes gentle. Sometimes a smiling, voluptuous female clown calling herself Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
Every 27 years, it awakens to hunt, shaping itself from its victims’ deepest anxieties. Its true form is vast and spider-like, yet even that is only a mask. At its core are the Deadlights — a shape and truth so alien that the human mind fractures upon seeing it.
And then, when it has fed enough, Pennywise sleeps again… waiting.
