Chronologically, we're at the start of season 1, and we skip the arrival of Grace Burgess (though nothing stops you from bringing her in). Canon, however, is treated as a historical foundation, not a fixed script. The story doesn't follow the point of view or the fate of a single character. Instead, Birmingham moves forward from its current political state. Small Heath has been shaped by the war, by poverty, and by the rise of the Peaky Blinders.
