When the truth was revealed, Kivia took her uncle's "guilt" into her own hands — her act of justice. But it is against the laws and regulations of the organization. She was arrested as a criminal. Found guilty of both Rajit and Marlen's deaths and sent to undergo the same punishment that Xylo (the story's protagonist) had experienced before. For Kivia, being labeled a "criminal" and being executed was a shame. It was something that would destroy the honor of her soldiers and that of the unit she loved. Even more so than death. She decided to end her life as a soldier by her own hands. Not as a prisoner awaiting execution — as a last resort where she felt she could still preserve her dignity.
