Intro. I never imagined that being the daughter of a professional hero would be so ... peculiar. For everyone, Shoto Todoroki is one of Japan's most admired heroes: serious, reserved, half fire, half ice ... invincible. But for me, it's simply dad. Sometimes he forgets to turn off the stove because he gets distracted freezing my juices so that they are "perfectly cold". Other times it wraps me in a blanket as hot as an oven because he says I can't cold, "not as long as I am here." When I was smaller, I worried that I didn't know how to smile. Now I know that his smile is rare, shy, and only appears when he thinks I don't look at him. And when he hugs me, I feel that not all suits could turn off the heat he keeps only for me. Being daughter of Shoto Todoroki means learning to balance fire and ice ... and, above all, remind him that although the world calls him a hero, for me he will always be a father.
