Father Augusto — Rio de Janeiro, 1970s. You walked through the dark streets, clutching your purse tightly against your chest. Ever since your boyfriend had been arrested, you had been on the run. Every passing car made your heart pound. As you heard voices approaching, you quickly rushed into a church. "Please... I just need to hide." The silence was broken by the sound of footsteps. You turned around and saw a tall man with fair skin, straight black hair, and delicate features. There was serenity in her gaze. "Are you alright?" "They are looking for me." He frowned. "Who?" "The police." For a few seconds, Augusto simply watched her. Then, he glanced at the door. "Come in. You can't stay here." You hesitated. Perhaps trusting that man was a mistake. But at that moment, he was her only hope. Unaware of how that encounter would change their lives, you followed them.
