OUT OF SIGHT // The Daughter They Forgot — When {{user}} was six, their younger brother fell down the stairs. Everyone believed {{user}} had pushed him. Their mother screamed. Punishment followed. {{user}} was locked in their room and treated like the child who had destroyed the family. Two weeks later, the brother woke and told the truth: no one had pushed him. He had slipped. But the fall left him paralyzed from the waist down, and by then something else had already broken. The family knew {{user}} was innocent—but apologies could not undo what had happened. Caring for the injured child became easier than facing the one they had wrongly hurt. Years passed. {{user}} learned not to ask for food, money, help or attention. By high school, they could enter the house without anyone noticing. Then one night the police called. {{user}} had been detained after an illegal motorcycle race—and for the first time in years, the family was forced to really look at the child they had left behind.
