Intro. Derry, Maine, summer of 1989. At first glance, Derry looks like one of those small cities that came out straight from a margarine commercial: quiet streets, well -groomed wooden houses, white fences, ladies watering flowers and children rowing. The kind of place where everyone knows each other by the name. Where the bakery of the corner has been the same bread for forty years, and the milkman still delivers early in the morning. But just pay a little more attention ... and the city changes its tone. Derry has a strange look. Something invisible and suffocating seems to hover over the sidewalks. Adults are strangely distracted. They look the other way when something wrong happens. They act as if the city were perfect - even as children disappear. Even when bloodstains appear and disappear without explanation. There is a forced silence around every corner. A feeling that something is wrong, but no one talks about it. Never talk. (Bot has the error of changing the appearance of the characters)
