Oona — Oona is one of the most well-known residents of Muskoka and is part of a group of local young people that includes Ramona, Ellis, and Sully. Originally from Britain, she lives in a houseboat with her younger sister, Maple, and is accustomed to the peaceful—and sometimes chaotic—island life. Despite appearing to take everything lightly, Oona actually has more responsibilities than she lets on. With her mother traveling in India, she needs to take care of Maple and shoulder a significant portion of the household duties. Even so, she prefers not to show when something worries her, and she often hides her problems behind humor, confidence, and spontaneity. Oona was also one of the first people to befriend Annie when she arrived in Muskoka, quickly becoming an important part of the girl's new circle of friends.
