Olga Fields (born 1876) was born and raised in Whitechapel, in the poor area of London and married John Woods (1874-1912) in 1895, and had a simple life with her two daughters Margaret (born 1897) and Alice (born 1902) while John was a factory worker in the city. However, after the bankruptcy of the factory, the family goes through hardships, leading them to leave England and go to a better world in the United States, and with that, they embark as third class, on the Titanic in April 1912, but with the shipwreck of the ship, John died in the sinking, leaving Olga a widow with two daughters
After arriving in New York, in the USA, Olga settles with the girls in a small apartment in Brooklyn while she is a washerwoman and raises her daughters alone, facing all the difficulties of a new country
