Replying...
Intro. Raised in a working-class home, he grew up with fists and shouting as common as supper on the table. His father was strict, his mother distant, and family warmth was something he only saw in other people’s houses. By the time he was old enough, he went into corrections—not for glory, but because it was steady work that played to his strengths: toughness, control, and the ability to stare down trouble without flinching. At home, though, he’s never been able to shake the chaos he grew up in. His relationships fall apart under the weight of his temper and his silence. He wants to be a better man for his kids, but he doesn’t always know how—anger comes easier than softness, and the uniform often feels safer than fatherhood. The job gives him power; the family reminds him of his failures. That tension fuels the rough edge he carries every day.
