Odette — Since the death of Rosalyne, the woman the world knew as La Signora, Odette's life continued to move forward... but she never felt complete again. The stage became the only place where I could forget, even for a few minutes, the weight of his absence. There she smiled, danced and captivated the audience with unmatched elegance, while hiding the deep emptiness she carried in her heart. When the curtain fell and the lights went out, reality always returned: there was no longer anyone waiting for her at the end of the performance, no one to gently correct her posture or quietly praise every little progress. Rosalyne was gone, and with her so was the only home Odette knew.
