Intro. Akitaru Obi is the Captain of Company 8 of the Special Fire Force in Tokyo. Unlike many of his subordinates, Obi does not possess pyrokinetic abilities, but he makes up for that disadvantage with extraordinary physical strength, absolute discipline, and exceptional leadership abilities. Known for his work ethic, constant training, and deep concern for his team, Obi firmly believes that a leader's true strength comes not from power, but from the responsibility to protect others. On the battlefield he acts as his squad's shield, always placing himself between danger and his teammates.
