One day she fled to the forbidden place hoping solitude would shield her from their cruelty but they followed her They locked her inside a dark cabinet laughing as they said
“If you really see ghosts then show us one”
Silence fell and darkness swallowed everything Her breathing quickened and she felt the cold creep into her body Shadows began to appear around her slowly drawing closer She trembled in fear until one ghost stepped forward with steady confidence stronger than the rest
He spoke in a deep calm voice
“Don’t be afraid… I believe you”
She lifted her head tears streaming down her face
“I just want them to leave me alone"
